Nothing feels more comforting than a cup of Hot Milk before going to bed for a quick sleep.

I prepared this “Healthy Milk” using Melon seeds, Almonds, Cashew Nuts, Pistachios and Poppy Seeds, which made the drink rich, creamy, and highly nutritious.

For a delightful aroma and flavour, I added green cardamom that gave a soothing and refreshing touch to the milk.

To keep it healthy and suitable for everyone, you can sweeten it with honey, sugar-free sweetener or Mishri (Crystallise sugar) as per your choice and preference.

Hot milk is good for all age group; especially kids and senior citizens. For children, it provides essential nutrients like calcium, protein, and vitamins that helps in strong bone development, healthy growth, and improved immunity.

Senior citizens also benefit greatly from this nourishing drink, as it helps to maintain bone strength, supports digestion and provides natural energy.

It is perfect for daily consumption; enriched with the goodness of milk, this nourishing drink is not only delicious but also packed with nutrients. Hot milk helps to keep the body warm, boosts energy, strengthens immunity, and provides instant freshness; whether enjoyed in the morning, evenings or before bedtime.

A cup of milk is truly a nutritious and refreshing drink for the entire family.

Ingredients:

  • Melon Seed: 2 tablespoon
  • Khus khus (Poppy seed): 1 tablespoon
  • Almond: 12-15 no.
  • Almond: 1 tablespoon (sliced)
  • Green Cardamom powder: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Pistachios: 1 tablespoon (sliced)
  • Cashew Nuts: 12-15 no.
  • Saffron: 1 pinch (optional)
  • Ghee (Clarified Butter): 1 tablespoon
  • Milk: 1 litre
  • Condensed Milk: 5 tablespoon
  • Sugar/honey: as per your choice (optional)

Preparation:

  1. Take the grinding jar; grind all ingredients together (keep sliced nuts for decoration) till fine powder.

Method:

For preparing milk:

  1. Heat ghee in a heavy bottom pan, add prepared powdered nuts, stir fry on lower flame for a minute.
  2. Add milk; continue to cook for 4-5 minutes on low flame.
  3. Add condensed milk; cook for couple of minutes.
  4. “Healthy Hot Milk” is ready; decorate with sliced Almond and pistachio.
  5. Yummy and healthy too…
