In Kudankulam, where it feels like summer throughout the year, finding ways to stay cool and hydrated is essential. With temperatures high year-round, such cooling and revitalising drinks become a staple in my home, offering both relief and nourishment in the sweltering heat.
When I gave a demo of the Ash Gourd, Cucumber, and Coconut Water Juice in the ladies’ club, everyone was thoroughly impressed by the simplicity and health benefits of the drink. The refreshing taste and the blend of natural ingredients made it an instant hit among the members.
Many of them were curious to know more about the recipe and the benefits each ingredient offers. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with several members mentioning that they planned to incorporate this juice into their daily routine, especially during the summer months.
It was a satisfying experience to share this healthy and rejuvenating drink with others who appreciated its value.
Ingredients:
- Ash gourd: 500gm
- Water: 200ml
- Cucumber: 250 gm
- Tender coconut water: 300 ml.
- Sugar: 4tablespoon
- Honey: 4tablespoon
- Lime juice: 1 tablespoon
- Salt: half teaspoon
Preparation:
- Peel off ash gourd and cucumber.
- Cut into pieces.
- Put these pieces into juicer and collect juice in a tumbler.
Method:
- Take a mixing bowl.
- Pour ash guard and cucumber juices in it
- Add tender coconut water, salt, sugar, honey and water.
- Add the lime juice before serving.
- Decorate with meant leaf and lemon slices.
