Janmashtami Bhog Prasad Thali

Janmashtami Bhog Prasad Thali

For this year’s Janmashtami Bhog Thali, I prepared a traditional delicacies, each with its own devotional significance. The thali featured Sabudana Kheer, a light and soothing dessert made with tapioca pearls simmered in milk.

I also offered Panchamrit, the sacred mixture made with milk, curd, honey, sugar and ghee, to make it even more nourishing and fragrant, I added mashed banana, which added a natural sweetness and smooth texture.

Another highlight was Dhania Panjiri, made with roasted coriander powder, ghee, and dry fruits a sattvic preparation specially made for  Janmashtami fasting.

I also shaped Panjiri Ladoo, enriched with a generous mix of nuts, edible gum and makhana (fox nuts), making them both wholesome and shaped into festive balls for easy serving.

Krishna Bhog is not complete without Makhan-Mishri, his beloved favorite treat.

I added fresh cucumber and seasonal fruits to making the Bhog both refreshing and complete.

Each preparation was done with devotion, bringing joy to both the puja and the Prasad.
