Phalahari Thali day 9

Here Navratri is coming to near end, tomorrow is very auspicious day, the day of worship “Siddhidatri” form of nav Durga and the occasion of “Kanya Poojan”. After fasting of navratri devotees offer the feast to nine girls, who symbolize the nav Durga.

On this occasion, enjoy the Navmi Prasadam, Phalahari Thali day 9.

For the auspicious occasion of Kanya Poojan, I prepared a traditional and heartfelt meal consisting of Poori, Halwa, and Dry Kala Chana. The combination of these dishes holds a special significance in this ritual, symbolizing abundance, joy, and devotion.

The Pooris were freshly fried until they puffed up into golden, crispy rounds, offering a delightful accompaniment to the other dishes.

The Halwa, made with semolina (sooji), ghee, and sugar, was soft and aromatic, with a rich flavour that added a touch of sweetness to the meal.

To complete the offering, I prepared Dry Kala Chana, cooked with mild spices until tender, providing protein-rich element that perfectly balances the sweetness of the halwa.

This simple yet flavourful spread not only honours the young girls as part of the Kanya Poojan ritual but also brings a sense of warmth, tradition, and festive joy to the day.
