On the second day of Chhath Puja, known as “Kharna.”
Devotees prepare and go in a special meal as part of the ritual. After observing a strict fast the entire day without water, devotees break it in the evening with this sacred meal, which is offered as Bhog to the Sun God and Chhathi Maiya.
The Kharna thali typically includes kheer (a rice pudding made with jaggery), Chapati, and Fruits, is shared with family and neighbours, symbolising purity and devotion.
The Kharna thali holds a deep significance as it represents the devotee’s dedication and commitment, furthering their connection to the divine blessings of the Sun God.
This Thali is our family’s traditional Thali on the occasion of Chhath Puja; which is one of the famous pooja observe after 5th days of Deepawali. This Thali gives me not only pleasure, but also it is enriching emotionally.
