French toast

I love to prepare and serve classic “French Toast” as breakfast; in which the ingredients are sliced bread, egg and milk. Here I customise the recipe without sugar…

Why I love to prepare this, because it is  super quick and easy, means ready in no time. Above all it is complete diet; have egg protein and carbohydrates. It is comforting as well as delicious too.

Ingredients:

  • Bread slices: 4 no.
  • Egg: 4 no.
  • Ghee/butter: for shallow frying
  • Black pepper powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Milk: 4 tablespoon
  • Salt: 1 teaspoon

Preparation:

  1. Cut the bread slices diagonally.
  2. Whip egg with milk and salt.
  3. Add black pepper powder.

Method:

  1. Take a non stick fry pan, spread 1 teaspoon ghee/butter.
  2. Dip the slice bread into the whipped egg, spread on the fry pan.
  3. Fry on medium heat on both sides till golden brown colour appears. (It takes about 1-2 minutes each side)
  4. Add little ghee/butter if required.
  5. Repeat till all the slices are cooked.
  6. Garnish with tomato ketchup and serve piping hot.
