Satuani Thali

Satuani is the festival celebrated in Bihar; it marks the beginning of summer and entry of sun into aries (Mesha) according to Hindu calendar, which is mostly falls on 14th of April.

Custom is that people start their day with dip in holy river Ganga and donate the Sattu (roasted Bengal gram powder) with jaggery in earthenware.

It is mandatory to eat sattu on the day; Yummy recipes are prepared  on the occasion… as I highlighted the recipes just click on…

Sattu is cooling in nature, rich source of plant based protein.
