Salad: Packing in tons of flavour & dressing around the world cuisine. Roasted sesame seed dressing is one of those; it gives extra flavour to whole dish. It is widely used in Japanese cuisine. Salad has substantial place in world cuisine.
Today’s recipe is slightly variation of Japanese Cucumber Salad; difference is that they don’t use spices instead they use fish sauce in their recipes.
Like I said it is “Spicy Cucumber salad(Roasted Sesame Seed Dressing)” in which I used red chilli flakes, crushed garlic, chilli garlic sauce, sesame seed and so on… as dressing.
The Salad is awesome in taste and flavour, which is made with Cucumber and white onion,
incredibly palatable…
Ingredients:
- Cucumber:1 no.(150 gm).
- White Onion: 1 no.( 50 gm.)
- Sesame oil: 1 tablespoon
- Red Chilli Flakes: 1/2 teaspoon
- Apple Cinder Vinegar: 1 teaspoon
- Tomato Ketchup: 1 teaspoon
- Garlic: 2-3 cloves
- Chilli and garlic sauce: 1 teaspoon
- Roasted sesame seed: 2 teaspoon
- Salt: 1 pinch
- Honey: 1 teaspoon
Preparation :
- If the cucumber is tender, there is no need to remove skin and pits, a lot of vitamins and minerals are present in the skin. Wash the cucumber, chop off both ends. Slice lengthwise in 2 halves, slice them simply. Keep aside.
- Cut the onion into two halves; remove both ends, wash with water, chop each half into slices. keep aside.
Method:
- In a mixing bowl, put all ingredients except sliced onion and cucumber, mix well.
- Add sliced cucumber and onion, mix properly.
- transfer into serving tray/ plate /salad bowl.
- Garnish with more roasted sesame seed and red chilli flakes.
- Crunchy “Spicy Cucumber salad(Variation of Japanese Cuisine)” is ready.
