On the auspicious day of Navratri, I prepared a special thali featuring a delightful combination of flavours, textures, and refreshing tastes. The highlight of the meal was the Phalahari Raw Banana Kabab, a vrat-friendly and flavourful dish made from grated boiled banana mixed with vrat spices, shallow-fried to perfection, giving it a crispy outside and soft inside, melt-in-the-mouth.
To add a touch of sweetness to the thali, I made Sabudana Kheer, a light and creamy dessert prepared with soaked sabudana pearls, simmered in milk, and sweetened to create a comforting and delicious treat.
To complete the meal and add a refreshing twist, I served a Date Coco Cooler, a cooling and naturally sweet beverage made with dates and coconut water, offering a boost of energy and hydration.
Together, these dishes create a well-rounded thali that is nourishing, satisfying, and festive, perfect for a vibrant and fulfilling Navratri fast.
